Artexplorer: a new cruising catamaran equipped by Lorima

For once, Lorima has equipped a new catamaran, and not the least, since it is the largest cruising catamaran ever built: Artexplorer.
To enable this giant catamaran (152′ long) to sail the seas and oceans, Lorima has built a 50 metre carbon mast, a boom and a custom-made crossbeam in its workshops.

This 46-metre catamaran sailboat is a real museum ship, with the capacity to welcome no fewer than 2,000 visitors a day. The boat is due to visit 15 different countries over the next 2 years. It will therefore be calling at no fewer than twenty ports. To be able to take part in this great cultural and maritime adventure, carbon was an obvious choice for Artexplorer. Lorima, which specialises in the manufacture of carbon fibre masts and booms, rose to this technical challenge.
